Ingredients:
- 2 oz RD1 French Oak Finished Bourbon
- 1.5 - 2 oz Cherry Sour mix
- Luxardo Cherries
Cocktail Directions:
- Add 2 oz of RD1 French oak Finished Bourbon
- Next, add 1.5 oz - 2 oz, to taste, of your homemade cherry sour mix
- Fill glass with ice and stir
- Garnish with luxardo cherry, or cherry of your choice
Cherry Sour Mix Directions:
- To make your homemade cherry sour mix you will need:
- 1 cup Tart Cherry Juice
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- Add your tart cherry juice and sugar to a saucepan and bring to a light boil, stirring often
- You want to make sure your sugar is completely dissolved, and everything is mixed well
- Once your mixture reaches a light boil, give it another stir and remove from heat
- Let your cherry syrup cool to room temperature
- Add your freshly squeezed lemon juice to the syrup and stir well
- Store in an airtight jar for up to 2 weeks
