The vision of 2020
In 2020, Lexington entrepreneurs - enamored by these gutsy mavericks of the late 1800s and their unbelievable bourbon story - established a new brand, RD1, to honor this meaningful era for Lexington bourbon and to help write the next chapter.
Our First Release
Our first whiskey release honored the late William Tarr, known as the Lexington bourbon entrepreneur. Under the brand name Old Wm. Tarr, we released a seven-year Kentucky Bourbon blended with an eight-year Rye, a dimensional blend marketed as the Manchester Rye and offered at two proof points, 114 and 96.4.
The 114-proof Old. Wm. Tarr Manchester Reserve at 114 proof was met with rave reviews, earning Double Platinum in the 2022 Ascot Awards, Platinum in the 2021 Las Vegas Global Spirits Awards, and Gold in the 2021 Denver International Spirits Competition.
Later, we released the Old Wm. Tarr Inheritance, a 12-year limited edition Bourbon, packaged inside a beautiful gift box. Each of these bottles were autographed by Coach Stoops

More recently in the fall of 2022, the company released its here-to-stay portfolio under the brand RD1. Never bored, we are committed to unique bourbon tasting experiences by exploring the interaction of Kentucky Straight Bourbon with unique woods from across the world.
